SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the facility-based Certified Wound Care Nurse Practitioner is to provide patients with quality wound care, chronic medical conditions, and comprehensive medical care within the Post-Acute Care setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performing physical, wound care exams & patient observations
- Creating patient care plans & analyzing diagnostic tests.
- Diagnosing health issues.
- Ordering, administering, & analyzing diagnostic tests.
- Ordering medications/treatments.
- Consulting with healthcare professionals and families.
- Detecting changes in patient's health & modifying treatment, as needed.
- Performing Wound Care treatment.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid nurse practitioner license in state of operations & current board certification in your field
- Masters Degree in Nursing
- Wound Care Certification
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills preferred.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must possess traits of punctuality, organizational skills, and ability to function within a team.
