Job Summary: Provide support to the team’s book of business including the marketing process for new and renewal business


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of all coverages serviced by the team
  • Proactive and can separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow
  • Help prepare team for renewal and new business meetings
  • Participate in client and prospect meetings when necessary
  • Understand client claims data
  • Prepare renewal submissions for marketing; send and process complete renewal submissions – including exposure analysis, renewal workbooks, and loss information. 
  • Analyze all quotes for accuracy and prepare proposal/presentation for Account Executive review.  Presentations could include quotes, spreadsheet, contract comparison, and other internal marketing materials
  • Submit sold business to insurance market and oversee implementation process
  • Review documents issued by insurance company for accuracy. Submit incorrect documents to insurance companies for revision
  • Participate in day-to-day operations of a service team and the assigned book of business
  • Establish and maintain a good business relationship with clients, insurance carriers and colleagues
  • Maintain client records within EPIC and various vendor software, as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Train with Account Executive on best practices
  • Work with Account Manager to prepare premium allocations
  • Attend carrier meetings, to occasionally include afterhours events
  • Ability to lead weekly, internal team meetings to provide updates on accounts during the marketing process
  • Ability to provide backup for Account Manager duties, including issuing certificates, Auto ID cards, and invoicing when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; in lieu of degree can substitute relevant education and work experience
  • 1+ year of relevant work experience required
  • Appropriate state insurance license is required; may be obtained in first 60 days of employment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to efficiently handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks and projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
