Monday – Friday

$25 - $34.58/hr DOE

9:00am – 5:00pm

 

Pierce County’s first Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic: Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Residential Therapist to join our Adult Residential Treatment Facility in Tacoma WA.

Function: Provide individual therapy and case management services to adults with chronic mental illness.  Facilitate community adjustment of consumers at high risk of institutionalization.  Lead and coordinate therapeutic groups. Serves as a member of an organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.      

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual therapy and case management services to adults with chronic mental illness.
  • Facilitate community adjustment of consumers at high risk of institutionalization.  
  • Provide a comprehensive assessment of the consumer’s needs, treatment planning, and independent living skill training.  
  • Lead therapeutic groups for skill building and individual growth.
  • Provide liaison with other community resources to help the client access supportive services.
  • Provide training and consultation to family members, landlords, and other caretakers in providing support to consumers.
  • Maintain clinical records and provide data and reports, as may be required for program monitoring and evaluation, in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Perform health and safety checks of apartments as required.  
  • Coordinate activities with other team members and other staff.  
  • Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.
  • Participate in team meetings and activities as required.
  • In addition to the above, perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in social or behavioral sciences, with relevant experience.  
  • Demonstrated ability to work with mentally ill individuals in the community.  
  • WA State credential/license.  
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license; proof of insurance.
