Objective of the Role
Vectorform is seeking a high-reaching Project Manager to join the Delivery team. As a Sr. Project Manager – Client Product, you will lead one or more projects in a current client product development engagement that is rapidly progressing toward a varied program. With the proof-of-concept delivered, the team continues to advance the product while preparing for initial customer pilots. In this role, the Sr. Project Manager – Client Product will draw from their experiences setting up and executing multi-phase projects or programs, leading technical teams, guiding client executive stakeholders, and progressing delivery from pilot to production to scale.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, within scope, and of the highest overall quality
- Proactively identify, track, and close risks or issues to prevent negative project and customer experience impacts; quickly remove blockers to allow the team to work efficiently on their tasks as needed
- Manage client and team expectations, leading governance sessions on a defined cadence
- Report project information tailored to client executives and internal team members to help ensure company goals, resources, and efforts are correctly aligned
- Provide and maintain project plans created in Atlassian’s Jira and/or Microsoft Project; integrate multiple projects into a cohesive and sustainable method as needed
- Actively manage project resourcing, consistently updating the system of record for the project duration; work with department leaders to resolve resource conflicts as needed
- Capture and communicate scope requests or opportunities to inform product development
- Track and manage resource budgets and procurement, as well as, support company invoicing
- Manage the processes and tools used by the teams to complete their tasks and deliverables
- Ensure project documentation is completed, current, shared and stored appropriately
- Maintain high morale across team members, including client and internal teams
- Improve the profitability of projects through process improvement, process management with the project and project team, and enhancing collaboration for project teams and client stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams through all project phases, guiding work priority based upon knowledge of customer requirements, project schedule, and dependencies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business challenges and opportunities, then develop project proposals supported with logic and evidence
- Manage project plans to scope, identifying and implementing corrective action plans that may include formal change orders
- Create and maintain project artifacts such as resource plans, project schedules, sprint and release plans, executive summaries, governance structure, and RAID logs
- Setup and facilitate meetings, capture and cascade minutes, and drive action items to closure
- Integrate and facilitate regular project team retrospectives to reveal recommendations for, and the implementation of, process improvements during project execution
- Provide regular executive summaries for project health and insights to ensure decision-making and delivery management activities are focused on achieving project goals, addressing risks, and fulfilling stakeholder requirements
- Assist with the development and support of internal Delivery policies, procedures, and best practices
