JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting customers with lending and loan products, customer relationship management and assisting Loan Officers with their responsibilities to support the lending function within the Banking Center.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide exceptional service to existing customers and collaborate with Loan Officers for prospective customers seeking loans.
- Assist Loan Officers in managing the lending function and objectives of the Banking Center, including but not limited to various credit memos and correspondence, past dues and loan exceptions, etc.
- Coordinate loan work flow with Loan Officers to include collection of financial documentation needed for loan underwriting, ordering appraisals and title work, and any other aspect of the loan origination process.
- Answer calls provide loan support to Loan Officers and other Loan Associates as needed.
- Provide customers with loan applications and assist with the process.
- Discuss lending-related products, answer questions, and provide assistance for current and potential loan customers.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of lending policies, procedures, compliance, and regulatory requirements to ensure all loans are compliant.
- Attain superior product knowledge and the ability to maximize support of Banking Center goals, loans and other lending-related products.
- Assist with the promotion of Banking Center’s retail product goals by identifying, recommending, and discussing optimum use or need of retail products with Loan officers and loan customers, including Visa Merchant, Remote Deposit, Cash Management, Trust Investments and Fixed Rate Mortgage.
- Possesses strong team player abilities and effectively work and cooperate with management, co-workers and customers.
- Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
- Follow the direction of the supervisor.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform other duties and projects as required by Management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Previous banking experience or knowledge preferably with exposure to lending areas.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related area preferred.
- Experience or education in administrative, customer service, sales or underwriting preferred.
- Experience in Jack Henry bank software and related programs a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:
- Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
- Frequent lifting (up to 25 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).
- Driving to client locations and other sites as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Normal office environment.
