Summary of Position

This position will work closely with the Executive Pastor to set and execute strategy relative to the appearance, maintenance and efficient operation of the church’s owned and leased buildings and grounds.  The position will be primarily responsible for ensuring facilities are ready at all times to serve their intended purposes. The position is also responsible for developing and ensuring execution of a schedule of maintenance activities and improvements and ensuring a consistently high level of organization and appearance at all times.  Candidates should have a strong knowledge of all major building systems and be excellent at prioritizing, planning and managing completion of small to large building construction projects.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience with all major building systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing)

  • Experience with leading and/or significant management of major construction projects

  • Ability to quickly identify and resolve problems

  • Strong attention to detail and design

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Ability to lead a team and manage third-party relationships

  • Strong verbal communication skills

  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment

  • Strong desire to use your skills for the benefit of the Kingdom

  • A member of The Summit Church or willing & able to become a member



  • Hire, train and oversee the facilities staff

  • Manage relationships with facility management service providers

  • Understand and develop contracts to ensure best services and practices are used at all facilities

  • Oversee physical security infrastructure, systems and procedures

  • Design and ensure execution of scheduled maintenance for buildings and grounds

  • Oversee asset management system

  • Manage procedures to ensure that facility needs related to central ministry events are met

  • Develop and implement Sustainability best practices

  • Prepare and manage adherence to an annual departmental budget

  • Assist with facility related insurance needs
