The Manager, Administrative Support is responsible for the day to day oversight of administrative functions and coordination of work performed by administrative assistants.





  1. Guides designated staff toward accomplishment of MTN’s Mission and goals; including training and development, coaching and counseling.  
  2. Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks that facilitates and supports the Administrative Assistant team and organization including, assisting with special projects, designing and producing complex documents, reports and presentation. 
  3. Provides strategic MTN sponsored event oversight and support as needed.   
  4. Evaluates and assists in developing administrative support procedures for consistent and improved workflow and anticipates future resources to support organizational growth. 
  5. Routinely evaluates and identifies departmental administrative support needs and makes recommendations for additional resources, support or realignment to ensure adequate support is maintained.  
  6. Maintains regular dialogue with leaders who administrative staff support for effective communication and coordination of workplan and to discuss individual performance of assigned administrative assistant.
  7. Works with department leaders to manage and prioritize competing administrative support activities and deploys additional resources as needed.
  8. Assists the Director, HR with staff selection, work plan development, performance reviews, salary and promotional recommendation and disciplinary actions. Provides ongoing staff training to ensure compliance with policies and staff development.
  9. Coordinates work schedule of administrative assistants by balancing time off requests to ensure proper coverage for leadership support.
  10. Collaborates effectively with Administrative Assistant team to ensure comprehensive and consistent delivery of support functions and performs all duties as an Administrative Assistant when needed.
  11. Manages oversight of the Reception area, including staff coverage during staff breaks/absences. 



  1. Coordinates special organizational events or activities.
  2. Oversees postage machine.





  1. Bachelor’s degree required.
  2. Previous experience in administrative support, or a combination of experience and education providing equivalent knowledge required.  A minimum of one to two years management experience strongly preferred.
  3. Ability to self-motivate and function autonomously.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Excellent computer program skills including Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new applications or software.
  6. Adaptable, dependable and ethical.
  7. Possess strong problem solving skills with ability to monitor own work for accuracy and thoroughness.
  8. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently.
  9. Must maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with MTN motor vehicle policy.  Must have reliable personal automobile transportation to be used with company reimbursement using IRS guidelines.  Must be able to travel within the service area by ground or air.
  10. Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including some nights and weekends for meetings.
  11. Ability to lift 50 pounds and transfer short distances.
  12. Possess ability to operate telephones, computers and office equipment.
  13. Ability to speak and communicate clearly in order to accurately convey information in person or by phone.
  14. OSHA Category III – No exposure to bloodborne pathogens while performing assigned job duties.
  15. Home internet and wireless phone access may be required.
