- A minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience in publishing or a related field is required.
- Preference for candidates with demonstrated customer support experience and/or supporting daily sales and/or marketing team activities.
- A minimum of a 4-year degree and prior experience in publishing is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience with title management systems (e.g. Biblio) and marketing management systems preferred.
- A genuine interest in and intellectual engagement with the publication of scholarly books.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience with Microsoft Office web platforms is beneficial but not required.
- Demonstrated accuracy, organizational skills to manage competing priorities and deadlines, and a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency across various modes of communication.
- Capability to interact appropriately and respectfully with others via email, phone and on-person.
- Ability to adapt to changes in workload and to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Capacity to work independently for long periods of time.
- Willingness to travel to other locations as necessary.
