Summary of Position

The Campus Communications Associate helps resource campus teams and align campus-specific communications needs with the overall mission of The Summit Church. In this role, the associate will work together with a diverse group of campus staff members at all of our campuses through consultation and communication requests to discover their needs and help fulfill them, from planning to promotion to implementation. 


Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Project management skills such as: problem solving, detail-oriented, “whatever it takes” mentality 

  2. Quick learner to help implement new processes 

  3. Proofreading and editing skills 

  4. Keen eye for graphic design 

  5. Ability to meet deadlines in time-sensitive situations 

  6. At least one year of related experience 

  7. A member of The Summit Church or willing and able to become a member 



  • Manages and owns given projects from beginning to end 

  • Manages the day-to-day communication request process for all Summit campuses 

  • Assists in managing the weekly tasks of the Communications Team to help ensure deadlines are met effectively, including updating Asana, our project management tool 

  • Participates in the planning and execution process of all marketing, events, and initiatives of The Summit Church, especially as related to each campus 

  • Collaborates with Associate Communications Director on ongoing and upcoming tasks, as needed 

  • Manages delivery of all merchandising and project items to campuses ahead of weekend services 

  • Orders and processes invoices for campus communications items with the help of Communications Team Admin. 

  • Schedules, plans, and collaborates with campuses to produce monthly Campus Updates 

  • Works with campus teams to schedule campus-based promotion, including, but not limited to, weekend slides, social media posts, emails, handouts, and web announcements 

  • Manages Lucidpress templates - receiving requests, organizing, and creating new templates for basic design needs
