Summary of Position

The Administrative Assistant helps facilitate the day-to-day communication of The Summit Church by assisting the Communications Team in an administrative capacity.  In this role, the Administrative Assistant will be the face of the Communications team to the church and the staff, assisting in answering questions and connecting people to the right Communications Team member, as well as leading in the areas of organization and planning. 

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Strong leadership, administrative, and people skills 

  2. Analytical mind-set with ability to think outside the box 

  3. Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Apps, and creating systems 

  4. Able to creatively plan and coordinate events 

  5. Team player 

  6. Demonstrates spiritual maturity 

  7. A member of The Summit Church or willing and able to become a member

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Communications Team with administrative tasks as needed 

  • Receives marketing and promotional phone calls 

  • Receives and responds to story/help emails 

  • Assists in project purchasing, processing invoices and credit card statements, and delivery and distribution of project items 

  • Organizes and orders Campus Updates 

  • Manages past print and digital item library 

  • Receives all ministry and campus project requests and distributes to Campus Communications Associate and Associate Communications Director 

  • Processes any check requests for members of the Communications Team 

  • Assists with planning and running team meetings, including scheduling, agenda setting, and note taking
