The Deposit Operations Specialist oversees payment processes for both consumer and business.  Implement and enhance the customer experience based on your expertise and recommendations as it relates to payments.  Looks for ways to streamline and improve payment processes for the growth and future of the bank.


Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities/Functions of Position

  1. Oversee ACH process and all activity related to ACH, including fraud tools; ACH Block and Filters and Positive Pay.
  2. NACHA certified for ACH and expert in this area
  3. Customer contact for purposes of over limit, NOC, etc. may be required
  4. Responsible for daily wire operations in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements
  5. Manage the customer experience related to processing payments always looking for enhancements.  Keep Core Bank innovative in the payments space.
  6. Zelle expertise
  7. Understands and can educate to mitigate risk of Corporate Account Takeover
  8. Bill pay and external transfer knowledge
  9. Maintain annual ACH Originator review and routine maintenance
  10. Responsible for quarterly ACH client education
  11. Expert on Third Party Sender compliance requirements
  12. Partner with Digital Solutions expert to ensure clients are meeting all regulatory and compliance requirements
  13. Act as a key contact for ACH related audits and reporting
  14. Understanding of online banking platforms
  15. Provide payment reporting on a monthly basis as requested for board reporting and documentation
  16. Partner with Digital Solutions expert to explore future payment solutions and assist in audit and related system review – Back up to Digital Solutions
  17. Always looking for ways to streamline, define and eliminate or enhance a process
  18. Cross train on bank processing daily tasks
  19. Policy and procedure review as it pertains to areas of focus
  20. Cross train in disputes and Reg E
  • Degree in related field and/or 3-5 years prior banking experience
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Team oriented individual
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Planning and organizational skills required
  • Self-Starter – with the ability to take ownership of the customer experience
  • Current AAP or NACHA certification preferred
