Huntington Beach, CA Office

Position Summary:

In this role, you will report to the Finance Manager and prepare various financial reports, build financial models, support the budgeting and forecasting process, and assist on other finance related functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking, excellent technical skills, strong communication skills (verbal and written), and high standards of accuracy and precision.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret financial results, highlighting key variances against budgets, forecasts and prior periods. Identify trends, patterns and areas of concern or opportunity.
  • Provide support in the development of the annual budgets, quarterly forecasts / business reviews, and monthly sales forecasts.
  • Support CFO in the development of quarterly Board meeting materials and presentations.
  • Find opportunities for cost savings, increased efficiencies in workflows, etc.
  • Respond to inquiries from key stakeholders regarding special information or reporting requests.
  • Ensure finance-generated reports are accurate by verifying data integrity and demonstrating a high level of attention to detail.
  • Present information in meaningful and actionable format to management.
  • Assist CFO and other managers with special projects on an as needed basis.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of Finance, FP&A, Accounting, or related experience.
  • Strong computer knowledge and skills, including in-depth knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Experience with NetSuite and financial reporting/business intelligence tools a plus.
  • Experience with short-term and long-term budgeting and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical mind, ability to understand complex matters and present recommendations in a clear manner.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional groups.
  • Experience presenting to highest levels of management with confidence and precision.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit for extended periods of time; including at a computer.
  • Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.
  • Repetitive hand and wrist movements for frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.

Work Conditions:

General office environment.
