ACCOUNTING COORDINATOR

Full-Time

Anders CPAs + Advisors is looking to add an Accounting Coordinator to assist our Finance Department in St. Louis, MO. This position is responsible for performing accounts payable functions as directed by the department managers. Duties also include performing a variety of clerical and bookkeeping tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting records and reports. This position has internal contact with the entire staff and external contact with vendor accounts receivable departments to ensure accurate and timely disbursement of firm resources. 

Position Responsibilities

• Serve as back-up for various daily departmental tasks.
  • Retrieve daily electronic payments received by Credit Card, eCheck and/or ACH.
  • Receive daily checks and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare control tape for both electronic and checks received for daily deposit and scan check to bank.
  • Process Client Credit Card and eCheck payments.
  • Assists with preparation of Quarterly Use Tax returns.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual 1099s.
• Assist with the verification and processing necessary to ensure accurate and timely payment of all legitimate vendor invoices for Anders and other related entities.
• Assist with the verification and processing necessary to ensure accurate and timely payment of all legitimate staff recorded reimbursable expenses for Anders.
• Assist with the preparation of Accounts Payable checks for review and signature for Anders and other related entities.
• Assist processing credit card statements for payment for Anders and other related entities.
  • Verifies and records credit card charges.
• Maintains W-9 files for all vendors
• Maintains paid Accounts Payables files for Anders other related entities.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Effective written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop relationships with clients, vendors, and staff at all management levels.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and meeting deadlines is imperative.
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills to effectively manage high volume workloads.
• Ability to exercise discretion and strong judgment when handling confidential information.
• Ability to work independently and be flexible while being a team player.

Education and Experience

• Associates degree in accounting or similar major preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable related tasks ideal.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications
• Tallie, Bill.com, or other cloud-based platforms are a plus
