In addition to offering the ability to accept major credit cards as payment we also offer loyalty and gift, and check processing programs utilizing various processing solutions to meet market demands. 


EMS is currently seeking Technical Analyst–Subject Matter Expert at our Cleveland, Ohio location.  The role of a POS Technical Analyst–Subject Matter Expert demands a unique blend of business and technical savvy; sales and relationship management skills; and a commitment to learning and expanding on electronic payment industry and technical knowledge.  The ideal candidate will be involved in the testing; documentation, implementation; and support of new software releases, integrated solutions and process improvements.  Additionally, an after-hours commitment will be necessary to respond in urgent situations. 



Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Associate Degree IT, MIS, or Computer Science field or two years of experience in a technical helpdesk environment or analyst position.
  • Prior history and experience working in restaurant/bar hospitality industry. 
  • Applicable work experience with point of sale systems. 
  • Understanding of relational databases.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience installing, modifying and troubleshooting Windows 10, 8 and 7, Android and iOS.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience installing, modifying and troubleshooting printers in multiple configurations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural and technical manuals.
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize workload, meet required deadlines and solve problems which may be new and unscripted.
  • Must be able to create, modify and complete Business Requirement Documents.
  • Understanding and ability to demonstrate knowledge of relevant technologies such as: IP Networks, Wireless Networks, Security, DNS, TCP/IP, SSL, Server Hardware, Firewalls and Databases.
  • Strong analytical, organization and planning skills and ability to communicate clearly in writing and through presentations.
  • Ability to maintain productive relationships with third party providers and value-added resellers


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Comp-TIA A+, Network +, Security + or Microsoft equivalent certifications
  • Three years of experience in a remote technical helpdesk environment or analyst position.
  • Prior experience in Merchant Services, Electronic Payments Industry or with POS/Software/Gateway vendors.
  • Understanding and ability to demonstrate knowledge of various architectural components of POS/Software solutions, Middleware, gateway platforms and Backend application systems.
