We have a full-time opening in Bentonville Arkansas, for an entry level designer of fire protection systems.
What You’ll Do: This position will be designing and hydraulically calculating fire protection sprinkler systems for commercial and retail facilities under the direct supervision of a fire protection engineer. Using industry standard software (Revit, AutoSprink and others) You’ll accurately and thoroughly prepare code compliant fire protection system designs within stipulated timeframes. The fire protection designer is an integral part of a successful fire protection system design team. You will interface with other in-house design professionals (including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers; and architects) to achieve creative solutions and meet team goals and make our clients happy. Ability to travel within the continental US is required to verify existing fire protection systems and site visits during construction to verify systems are installed per specifications and contract documents is required, approximately 15-20 percent of the time.

What You Bring: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related from an accredited college or university. Knowledgeable with experience using design software, listed above. Ability to obtain NICET certification; learn and comply with NFPA standards and other applicable federal, state and local codes Strong analytical, critical thinking and mathematical aptitude, with attention to detail, good working knowledge or hydraulic calculations and ability to read and understand construction documents. Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities under time constraints
