Solect is currently seeking a full-time Regulatory Specialist whose primary role is to submit interconnection paperwork to the utilities and follow through the full process until project completion, administer solar incentive paperwork unique to several states, process and manage building permit applications, and coordinate structural inspections. Key Responsibilities

  • Work with team members to submit interconnection applications and continue the utility processes through the completion of project and final permission to operate the system

  • Prepare and file paperwork in MA, RI, CT and potentially other states for solar PVincentives including follow through by working with customer and state entities until approvals are received

  • Stay abreast of changes and new developments in incentives and specific program deadlines in the different states

  • Prepare building permit applications and interact with local permitting jurisdictions to receive permits quickly

  • Coordinate structural inspections and follow through after the inspection to receive the final report from the Structural Engineer

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 2+ years commercial Solar PV experience

  • Experience working with utilities for interconnection and state agencies for incentive approvals preferred

  • Experience preparing and filing permit applications and working with local building departments preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google applications, and Salesforce

  • Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, strong organizational skills and attention to detail required

  • Professional and personable demeanor and willingness to interact frequently with internal resources, clients and regulatory officials
