Southeastern Guide Dogs seeks an experienced Alumni Advisor, who is self-directed. This is an exciting position for a an energetic individual to support graduates for the safe and effective management of a guide dog or service dog. Candidates must have the ability to solve practical problems and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram/chart, or schedule form.

The Alumni Advisor is responsible for providing support to graduates, troubleshooting working problems, as well as interviewing applicants prior to being accepted for training. The Alumni Advisor must possess excellent interpersonal skills; must have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with potential clients, graduates, and other trainers. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong organizational skills and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including a lot of travel when necessary.


Our Alumni Advisors are part of a dedicated team and work closely with other departments to ensure consistent quality.


Special Working Conditions:

This role travels extensively throughout the United States. Telecommuting is available. Florida residency is required.


Certification in Guide Dog Training is required.
