Description
  • Oversee assigned interior personnel assigned to the Wood Shop, ensuring all policies and procedures are implemented properly
  • Accurate and timely management of work orders in Corridor
  • Monitor day-to-day activities for assigned area and report status, issues and risks to Director of Interiors
  • Ensure that work completed complies with Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, FAA regulations and customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude.
  • Ensure time/labor recording is accurate in all related labor management systems.
  • Complete verbal, written and/or electronic turnover indicating status of work progress
  • Present a clean and safe work area to customers and employees
  • Interpret blueprints, completion drawings, company standards, work instructions
  • Perform necessary calculations using shop math based on required tooling, detailed parts, assemblies, and installations.
  • When applicable, perform proper maintenance practices in accordance with Constant Aviation standards, such as proper glue application, adhesive bonding, hardware, and rivet installation.
  • Demonstrate proper handling and use of all required chemicals and adhesives related to the current job assignment, including general knowledge and ability on retrieving data from the MSDS safety books.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience with various types of aircraft interiors
  • Prior leadership experience preferred
  • Requires excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple departments
  • Planning and organizational skills necessary
  • Computer experience in Microsoft Office software products
  • Able to setup and operate all standard equipment related to upholstery.
  • Able to work from documentation such as 3D models, blueprints, drawings, aircraft specifications, preparation packages, etc.
  • Must not be allergic to chemical, solvents, paints, adhesives, natural or manmade materials, fabrics, or feathers.
