Job Details: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist
PRN position assisting in rotating weekend call
Educational Requirements: 2 year Associate degree or higher or Laboratory Science degree as well as ASCP or equivalent Board Certification.
Other requirements: Must live within 15 miles of Kiowa District Hospital.
Applicants must have strong attention to detail being organized, professional, and efficient. Must be personable with patients and adhere to strict confidentiality. Specimen collection including phlebotomy will be a daily requirement of the position and while it can be taught on the job, it is a preferred skill. Duties include collecting, preparing, and analyzing patient samples as well as reviewing/finalizing patient reports. Handles and maintains laboratory equipment including minor repairs, calibrations, quality control, and generalized troubleshooting. Proficient computer skills.
