Scope of Role

Willy’s Mexicana Grill’s Assistant Managers (AMs) are responsible not only for the operations of a restaurant, but also budgeting, financial analysis, marketing, information technology and human resources—functions that are supported by the home office.  In addition to the demands of the business, AMs must lead a family of hardworking Team Members who work harmoniously to fulfill Willy’s mission to deliver flavor-filled food to the community.

Your success will be measured by your ability to build sales, manage restaurant operations within a budget, strengthen relationships with current employees, fill knowledge gaps, and Above and Beyond Guest service within your unit.

  • BRING IT! in a leadership role by ensuring all administrative functions including but not limited to processing required paperwork on company POS and administrative systems are completed in a timely manner while keeping all other management informed. You will be responsible for understanding P&L statements, budgets, and cost controls about food, beverage, and labor goals.
  • Host FUELED BY FUN Taco Talks that encourages and recognizes performance, anniversaries and birthdays while informing the entire team on daily goals and challenges ahead – you are in charge of sharing the company’s goals – Utilizing a platform to communicate with your team is essential, this will build loyalty, trust, and transparency!
  • Be QUALITY CRAZED when following and managing safety, sanitation, and security standards outlined by Willy’s. Being organized and committed to reporting all incidents involving Guests, Team Members, and company vehicles.
