Life Science Outsourcing, Inc (LSO) is a contract manufacturer of medical devices with in-built capabilities to offer clients full-service solutions through our six divisions. Clients rely on LSO to perform all activities required to introduce their products to market, from sourcing to drop shipping.

In January of 2021 LSO has partnered with PPC Enterprises (www.ppcenterprises.com), a leading private equity firm based out of New York to expand LSO’s geographic reach in the medical device arena. Due to the recent acquisition and 24 years of growth, we are currently seeking a self-motivated Project Process Planner with a good positive energy to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for developing timelines, coordinating and following up on all details involved in primarily new projects and routine manufacturing. The Project Process Planner plays a significant and strategic role in the success of LSO and reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Job Description

• The Project Planner is accountable for assuring customer, quality and on-time delivery
• Attend kick-off meetings for new projects/orders with Sales and other key personnel to determine the actions necessary to assure a successful job that satisfies customer requirements and expectations, including quality, delivery time, etc.
• Prepare and publish timelines after the kick-off meeting or consulting with Sales
• Generate, publish and follow up on all paperwork associated with manufacturing a new project and routine manufacturing (existing customers), which includes developing timelines, R&D development and approvals, part numbers (top-level, sub-assembly, etc., as applicable), creating Bills of Material, and notating customer specific requirements, etc.
• Monitor and advise timing of materials and delivery from vendors, in order to adhere to new projects/routine manufacturing timelines
• Gather information internally for updates on all customer calls and email communication when needed
• Facilitate and follow up on required customer supplied samples and send to production to match
• Facilitate and follow up on production & batch samples for customer approval, when required
• Communicate and manage critical production materials and requirements through all phases of manufacturing
• Consult with Director of Operations and Director of Manufacturing as to whether identified internal concerns require production/assembly to “stop.”
• Communicate promptly with all affected departments especially Production and Sales/Customer Service regarding critical milestones, problems, changes in timelines, etc.
• Review published meeting minutes and deliverables and collect necessary information and facilitate updates back to the inside sales rep and/or customer as needed
• Review and advise production scheduler to conform to delivery dates
• Identify, evaluate, and present to sales rep the issues related to expediting particular orders/projects/routine manufacturing; work with other employees at all levels and within all departments to resolve daily problems
• Maintain records and files (e.g., Product samples, order details, related notes etc.) essential to the project/routine manufacturing
• Provide purchasing with all details needed to procure materials, components, and supplies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Operation Management, and/or minimum four years of experience in Project Management
