JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Donor Relations Manager 
Employment Classification: Full Time, Exempt
Reports to: Chief Development Officer
Department: Development

Position Summary: The Manager of Donor Relations is an independent contributor working closely with the CDO, CEO, and Development Team to maximize contributions. This is accomplished by engaging and stewarding a portfolio of individual donors, as well as implementing a strategy to identify new individual and community-based philanthropic resources. This position works collaboratively with the Development Team to implement all aspects of the Donor Relationship Cycle (DRC) to increase giving, which includes face to face meetings, events, program activities and other donor stewardship strategies. The ideal candidate demonstrates and holds themselves to high standards for professionalism across various audiences, which includes interfacing with staff, Board members, donors, and funders.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Responsible for a portfolio of donors. This includes the movement through the DRC for each constituent, including personalized engagement plans for high-impact donors aligned with personal goals based on their desired impact and interests.
• Consistent tracking of activity in RaisersEdge and regular review of activities, including the creation and analysis of monthly reports to assess efficacy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Development Operations Manager, Director of Strategic Partners and Marketing to create customized proposals to provide meaningful giving opportunities for donors.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan to identify and secure new donors, including staying up to date on local giving trends, charitable social events, and business trends as well as networking, utilizing prospecting research and engaging current supporters to engage their networks.
• Work collaboratively with volunteer committees and Board members to meet revenue goals. Assume lead role on one to three committees.
• Work with Development team to review current and new donor data regularly to make strategic decisions regarding activities with portfolio donors.
• Utilize fundraising tools created by marketing team (events, direct mail, marketing materials, website, digital campaigns etc.) to engage and inspire donors to remain active supporters.
• Responsibilities also include off site presentations, tours and attendance at program events as needed.
• Attend weekly Department meetings and monthly Orangewood staff meetings.

Knowledge, Skill, and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree valued but not required.
•  Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fundraising/development, or relevant experience that includes high touch customer engagement and/or premiere hospitality or sales.
•  Engaging and compelling communicator and presenter.
•  Ability to work both in a team environment and in self-directed situations.
•  Competency in use of Microsoft Office applications, experience with Raisers Edge preferred.
•  Multilingual Spanish- and/or Vietnamese -valued.
•  Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Must be a minimum of twenty-one years old.
• Has consistently reliable transportation.
•  Must be able to pass a criminal background check, FBI/DOJ fingerprinting, TB test, and drug screen.

Working Environment/Physical Requirements: Position may require use of personal vehicle. Our typical physical environment includes standing, sitting, typing, bending and lifting up to approximately 50 lbs. (i.e. tables, chairs, food, water, etc.).
