Summary of Position

This position is responsible for all aspects of creating videos for weekly Summit Online service. This person will be a highly motivated, creative individual with a passion to connect through video storytelling.

 

The initial contract period for this position is 3 months with the possibility of 3- to 6-month extensions.  The commitment for the contracted period is 40 hours per week.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A commitment to servant leadership (Mk. 10:45; Col. 3:23-24).

  • Personal integrity and evidence of ongoing spiritual growth, as required of all church employees.

    • Passionate about the gospel, active at the Summit, and motivated to build the local church through your gifts and abilities.

  • Strong vision for storytelling.

  • Strong technical background in camera, lighting and audio departments. 

  • Strong project management skills - an organized, detail oriented, creative thinker.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines in time
    sensitive situations.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for meeting with ministry partners and
    church members to grasp vision and execute according to project expectations.

  • Experience in multi camera production and post-production workflows.

  • Experience in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator).

  • Extreme attention to detail.

  • Maintain an understanding of quality design aesthetics and current trends.

  • College degree preferred.

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in video production.

  • Position requires 2-3 days of on-site production per week at the Summit Church. Remote post-production may be possible. 

  • Able to lift at least 50lbs.

  • Demo reel required with application submission.

  • Responsible for all of the scheduling, filming, and editing aspects of weekly Summit Online services.

    • Handle the post-production process to ensure all work solves problems appropriately.

    • Understand the context in which finished work will be used to create more effective final products.

  • Must possess the drive to learn, grow and extend knowledge/skill set as often as possible.

  • Works with Video Team Director , Programming Director, and Summit Online Director to set goals and expectations for individual and team progress.

  • Coordinate with motion graphics designer, worship and production staff in post-production.

  • Assist in any and all other tasks necessary to accomplish the vision and mission of the Summit Church as assigned by the supervisor.
