Carriage Hill Retirement is seeking a Full-Time Facilitiies Director for our Senior Living Community.

Applicants must have care and compassion for our elderly residents and have good time management skills.

Successful candidates will be self-directed, organized, have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and have basic knowledge of computer programs.

JOB DUTIES

• The Facilities Director will oversee: Maintenance, Housekeeping and Transportation Department.
• Recognize and respond to the safety and physical plant maintenance needs of the facility.
• Effectively manage the maintenance department with regard to residents, employees, families, visitors and the public.
• Hire, train, motivate, supervise and evaluate maintenance personnel.
• Conduct regular rounds of the facility to check all plant maintenance areas to assure the quality control and safety, health and welfare of residents, employees and others within the facility and correct or report equipment failure or damage to the Executive Director.
• Check air conditioning and heating units, fire alarm and emergency generator system and document test results as required.
• Check pump stations and breaker panels, washers and dryers in laundry.
• Maintain temperature control and good repair of physical plant, both inside and out, including but not limited to resident call lights, door alarms, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and other electrical units, nursing and other department equipment, and facility vehicles.
• Conduct monthly fire drills and other emergency preparedness drills.

EDUCATION

The Facilities Director will have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Completed training courses in repair, construction and equipment installation of various mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, boilers, air conditioners, compressors and generators is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

The Facilities Director will have a minimum of one year experience working in a maintenance/plant related supervisory position. It is preferred that the Facilities Director have a minimum six month experience in a nursing home, hospital, home health agency or other health care facility.
