Hand Family Companies is seeking a talented and self-motivated employee for a management position in our Finance department. 

This position is responsible for the oversight and analysis of Accounts Payable processes and personnel throughout the company and works primarily with team members at on‐site and remote locations to ensure payables are current by processing in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. The Accounting Manager will be expected to complete analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, review weekly AP reports with on-site payables team/operations manager/forecast managers, monitor check payments and EFT processing, analyze and reconcile reports from VIP (Route Accounting system), Peachtree and other software as needed, ensuring that all entries are accurate and complete. This position will also be involved in various ad hoc projects and analysis as assigned by Controller/CFO.

The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for supervising, developing and cross-training team members, coordinating team member time off requests, as well as reviewing and approving team member time cards.  Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the finance team.


Total education, vocational training and experience required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience with 2 or more years of successful supervisory experience.

This is a full-time regular position, Monday through Friday, with only infrequent needs for weekend work.
