Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in downtown Tacoma, WA.

Function: Responsible for providing accounting, finance, fiscal administrative analysis, and support for the agency Finance Department. Serves as a member of the organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and prepare backup for agency’s billing, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Properly prepare and enter invoices and other adjusting entries into the accounting system.
  • Assist and prepare agency filings. 
  • Review Cash Receipts and Bank Deposits - Assist in reconciling bank statements.
  • Assist in designing, developing, preparing, implementing and managing required financial reports and accounting systems to facilitate accounting functions.
  • Compile information, create and maintain reports required by management, Board of Directors, funding sources and auditors.
  • Coordinate with HR in the bi-weekly preparation of Payroll. Assist Controller/Revenue Cycle Manager in processing/maintaining retirement plan, 403(b) contributions and loans. 
  • Assist in preparation of monthly general ledger accounts reconciliation. 
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining the general ledger.
  • Perform special projects and /or assignments as directed by Controller/Revenue Cycle Manager/CFO.
  • Coordinate with other staff as needed to facilitate accounting functions.
  • Coordinate with admin and program departments on supply logistics, purchasing, and tracking subsidy funds. 
  • Other duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
  • Must be proficient in MS office, database management, and electronic payroll management. 
  • Must be proficient in Excel and be able to create and utilize spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrates ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
