The HR Recruitment and Engagement Specialist will be responsible for the full life cycle of talent acquisition and non-provider recruitment activities for Family Health La Clinica. Will also oversee the new hire onboarding and orientation process.


  • Full cycle recruitment.
  • Develops and implements recruitment strategies. Determines traditional and nontraditional platforms for attracting and recruiting talent.
  • Develops recruitment tools including recruiter and manager interview guides.
  • Utilizes, Develops, and Enhances the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Ensures all job descriptions are updated at the start of the recruitment process.
  • Completes annual workforce planning meetings with organizational leaders.
  • Develops and maintains contacts with schools and attends job fairs on behalf of the organization.
  • Plans and communicates offers of employment.
  • Completes references, background checks, licensure and education verification and all other compliance checks as needed.
  •  Works with external Recruitment Firms and Agencies when needed.
  • Travels to all FHLC locations as needed for interviews.
  • Provides input regarding recruitment trends and concerns related to compensation and benefits.   
  • Works with internal departments and community groups and resources to identify and improve barriers to attracting new talent.
  • Develops and manages internships, preceptorships, and job shadowing requests.
  • Develops recruitment materials (in conjunction with Marketing Department) such as brochures, displays, and giveaways.
  • Regular and Reliable Attendance.
  • Assists with other HR duties such as maintaining employee records, ensuring HR compliance with employment laws, maintaining I-9 records, metrics, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum of an Associate’s degree required.  Bachelor’s Degree in an HR or related field preferred. Working experience in human resources and recruitment required. Experience in recruiting within a healthcare environment preferred. Excellent communication and technology skills required.


English language required, bilingual English/Spanish a plus.  Ability to read & interpret documents, reports and correspondence in both language preferred.  Ability to speak effectively before groups and/or individuals.
