Reporting to the Manager of Match Support  8th - 11th Grade, the Bilingual Match Support Specialist 8th - 11th Grade is a full time, exempt position that is responsible for providing match support to all of their assigned matches. The main role is to build a relationship with the Big, Little and Parent to ensure the best quality support for all matches. This includes, providing coaching, encouragement, and advice to matches via phone, email, and/ or in person. This position also works to provide additional resources to assist in the Little’s preparation for their High School aspirations and goals, provide community resources to families/ Bigs when needed and upon request, as well as, offering ideas and support to help foster the Bigs and Littles relationship growth, all while supporting the little’s development through their interactions with their Bigs.


  • Provide all monthly and quarterly check ins for existing matches.
  • Document all monthly and quarterly check ins thoroughly and within the required time frame to adhere to the standards of BBBSA using the BBBS federation wide information management system.
  • Receive and support new matches after their 90-day introductory period from the Enrollment and Matching team.
  • Attend monthly face to face meetings with the Enrollment and Matching team to discuss new matches.
  • Travel to meet all newly transferred matches within the required 30-90 day period.
  • Position may require some evenings and weekend hours to accommodate our families and volunteers’ schedules.
  • Attend regular, required training for safety and best practices.
  • Perform annual surveys, and create, update and document match goals, as needed.
  • Complete match closures and required documents for match closures and/or match party updates.
  • Attend required Program related and agency events.
  • All other duties as assigned.

The position requires the ability to work autonomously, with outstanding customer service, and flexibility with a willingness to work as needed to accomplish job requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to clearly communicate through both written and verbal communication and be able to work under competing demands with minimal supervision while being accountable to individual and team metrics..

Candidates must also possess the ability to set and accomplish goals. Must be highly organized with the ability to multitask, implement systems and follow-up processes, able to effectively work under pressure, use independent judgment and produce a quality work product within tight time constraints. You should be able to work independently and also work well with a team as you will work alongside our BBBSKC team members.


  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or counseling; or a bachelor's degree and at least two years paid professional work experience in the social service or youth development field
  • Experience working with teenage youth preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is required
  • Shown experience in providing advice and coaching to both adults and youth
  • A familiarity with Salesforce is a plus

36,000  - 37,000 annually depending on qualifications

Effective September 13th, 2021, BBBS requires all new hires be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work.
