The Regional Sales Manager

(RSM) is responsible for working closely with their Regional Account Manager (RAM), which is their sales associate & partner for new business. This team is targeting fleets within the assigned region to conduct client facing sales of new prospect leads of 50 trucks in size and greater. The RSM is to strategically target and qualify for “upselling” or new services to all existing customers of size within their assigned region (defined as those current customers with an average of $500.00> per month in billing for services). Additionally, the RSM has co-responsibility along with the RAM for the account retention of all current customers within their region.

 

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively pursue Transflo’s sales goals and strategic objectives via consultative selling, customer relationship management, and teamwork with sales and product support staff
  • Act as client advocate to establish relationships, trust, and integrity within assigned clients
  • Conduct weekly sales travel within the assigned region (requirement of 8 meetings per week)
  • Engage in discussions with key contacts to determine client satisfaction and additional needs based upon current business practices
  • Diligently manage and report customer opportunities and status for new business and client retention
  • Prioritize list of assigned clients to determine the most strategically opportune upselling targets
  • Must be available to assist current customers as needs arise
  • Introduce new solutions as determined by need
  • Monitor agreement terms for renewal
  • Log opportunity and activity notes thoroughly and accurately within Salesforce
  • Conduct presentations/demonstrations
  • Other duties as needed for success

Qualifications

  • Previous proven consultative solution sales experience within the transportation industry preferred
  • Software/technology sales preferred
  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience in consultative sales position within a services oriented business model
  • Proven record of closing sales
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, must be polished and articulate demonstrating tact and professionalism
  • Highly motivated and driven with desire to advance
  • Resourceful and self-directed
  • Proficient in PC use and use of relevant software
  • Ability to manage heavy workload in a highly competitive and visible area and involving information of a business-sensitive and/or confidential nature
