POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager of Match Support 12th Grade & Beyond, the Match Support Specialist 12th Grade & Beyond is a full-time exempt position responsible for providing match support to their assigned matches. The main role is to build a relationship with the Big, Little, and Parent to ensure the best quality support for all matches. Additionally, the Match Support Specialist 12th Grade & Beyond is required to thoroughly document match support conversations in the BBBS Federation wide information management system. This position will work as part of the team to provide comprehensive support to Littles as they empower them to take control of their post-secondary pathway—college, trade, or workforce.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide all monthly and quarterly check ins for existing matches.
  • Document all monthly and quarterly check ins thoroughly and within the required time frame to adhere to the standards of BBBSA using the BBBS federation wide information management system (Matchforce).
  •  Receive and support new matches from the Enrollment and Matching team after their 90-day introductory period; as well as matches that transition to from the 8th-11th Grade Match Support Team.
  • Perform annual surveys, and create, update and document match goals as needed.
  • Attend monthly face to face meetings with the Enrollment and Matching team to discuss new matches.
  • Travel to meet all newly transferred matches within the 30–90-day period.
  • Attend required agency and national trainings for safety and best practices
  • Complete match closures and required documents for match closures.
  • Facilitate career coaching meetings as needed/requested.
  • Attend and participate in workshops, events, panels, and other enrichment opportunities geared towards the 12th Grade & Beyond Team.
  • Participate in WIG, departmental, and other required agency meetings.
  • Attend required Program related and agency events.
  • All other duties as assigned.

The position requires the ability to work autonomously, with outstanding customer service, and flexibility with a willingness to work as needed to accomplish job requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to clearly communicate through both written and verbal communication.

Candidates must also possess the ability to set and accomplish goals. Must be highly organized with the ability to multitask, implement systems and follow-up processes, able to effectively work under pressure, use independent judgment and produce a quality work product within tight time constraints. You should be able to work independently and also work well with a team as you will work alongside our BBBSKC team members.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or counseling; or a bachelor's degree and at least two years paid professional work experience in the social service or youth development field
  • Experience working with high school and/or college age strongly preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus

STARTING SALARY RANGE

36,000  - 40,000 annually depending on qualifications
 

COVID-19 CONSIDERATIONS
Effective September 13th, 2021, BBBS requires all new hires be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work. Prospective employees are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after the second dose of a two-dose vaccine (Moderna or Pfizer) or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson).
