Position Summary 

The Senior People Manager will serve as a key business partner, overseeing people management strategies and initiatives to support Barcel USA’s goals. This role requires a strategic leader with expertise in legal and regulatory compliance, immigration laws, labor relations, benefits management & wellness, employee engagement, organizational policies, fleet management, contract negotiation, operations, succession planning, workplace safety, and job satisfaction. The ideal candidate will drive HR initiatives that support business objectives while fostering a positive and compliant work environment

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including immigration regulations, wage and hour laws, and workplace safety standards.
  • Labor Relations: Manage employee relations strategies, resolve workplace disputes, and act as a liaison between employees and management to maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Benefits Management & Wellness: Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and wellness initiatives, ensuring competitive offerings that enhance job satisfaction.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to boost employee morale, retention, and productivity through recognition programs, professional development, and career growth opportunities.
  • Organizational Policies: Create, update, and enforce company policies to align with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Fleet Management: Supervise company fleet policies, ensuring compliance with safety standards, cost-efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for HR-related contracts, including vendor agreements, service providers, and labor-related agreements.
  • Operations & Succession Planning: Partner with leadership to align workforce planning with business needs, identifying key talent and developing succession plans to ensure organizational stability.
  • Workplace Safety: Champion a culture of safety by implementing programs that minimize workplace hazards, ensure OSHA compliance, and promote employee well-being.
  • Job Satisfaction: Drive initiatives that enhance the employee experience, foster a collaborative workplace culture, and improve retention rates.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in the CPG or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws, immigration regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in employee relations, benefits management, and workplace safety programs.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute HR strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.
