Job Summary

The primary role for the X-ray Technologist will be to maintain and use equipment and supplies necessary to demonstrate portions of the human body with high-quality radiographic images for diagnostic purposes. This role will be based in our Frisco clinic with the expectation of working approximately 15-20 hours a week. Following county health and CDC guidelines, masks are required to be worn while in the office. The right person for this role will be team oriented, service-minded and empathetic in their approach to our patients and their families.


 Position patient on examining table and set up as well as adjust equipment to obtain optimum view of specific body area as requested by physician in addition to using patient-shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff. Monitor patient safety and comfort.

 View images of area being diagnosed to ensure quality of images, rejecting and repeating work that does not meet established standards.

 Manage outside studies and operate digital picture archiving communications systems.

 Comply with all company policies and meet expectations as outline in the Panorama Orthopedics Policies and Procedures Manual.

 Maintain confidentiality of Personal Identifiable Information (PII) in accordance with company Policies and State and Federal laws, including OHSA and HIPAA regulations.

 Perform job in accordance with all company safety practices.

 Other duties as assigned.


 The position is very physical and requires standing for long periods of time, stooping, bending, stretching, and supporting/assist lifting of patients weighing up to 300 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. It is necessary to view a computer monitor for medium periods of time. Duties require manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, corrected vision, and hearing to normal range.


 Willingness to become proficient in specialized orthopedic positioning as requested by physicians.

 Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, and of common medical safety hazards and precautions for X-Ray room.

 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate with different audiences in a simple, clear and concise manner.

 Ability to work under pressure and with strict deadlines, and to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

 Ability to identify when confidentiality, discretion and judgment are needed, and exhibit these traits appropriately.

 Ability to use information technology including email, web navigation, clinic information systems, e.g. scheduling software, and transcription software.


 Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) license as an RT required along with Basic Life Support Certification (CPR/BLS).

 Previous experience in orthopedic radiology preferred.
