Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the assessment function by identifying clients’ strengths, weaknesses, problems, and needs for the development of treatment plans.
  • Assists in treatment and discharge planning functions by identifying and ranking clients’ problems, establishing agreed upon immediate and long-term goals, and deciding on treatment methods, resources to be utilized, and outcomes.
  • Assists in case management function by initiating activities which bring people, services, agencies, and other resources together within a planned framework of action working toward the achievement of established goals.
  • Performs consultation function by working with other counselors and professionals in regard to client treatment services to assure comprehensive, quality care to clients.
  • May perform didactic groups, process groups, and other related clinical work.
  • Must complete online compliance training prior to client contact.
  • Performs other related assignments as directed by the Counseling Supervisor.

  • Counseling supervisor

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Regularly uses a telephone for communication.
  • Uses office equipment such as computer terminals, copiers, and Fax machines.
  • Sits for extended time periods.
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
  • Uses hands to finger, handle and feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk.
Qualifications
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to establish effective rapport with men’s and women’s program clients.
  • Must be CPR/First Aid certified upon hire or within 90 days of hire.

Education and Experience:

  • Current LCDC-I OR Enrolled in Master’s level program
