Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on IT Operations Manager with a proven track record of implementation and quality operational work to join our team in Seattle.  Join us as we work to transform the way pathology and cancer diagnosis is done!  The IT Manager leads a small team of analysts, engineers and database administrators that support of all the organization’s information systems and information technology.  Provides IT services to all users and departments; establishes technical standards, methods and priorities; supervises, hires, and oversees the training of all IT staff.

This role requires a person who is highly flexible, quick thinking, and motivated. This is a position that requires strong organizational skills and creative thinking to accomplish assigned tasks. Frequent and consistent communication is a must to ensure that team members are aware of current status and to monitor and resolve potential blocking issues. The ability to prioritize multiple tasks, balance workloads across lab team members to increase efficiency and meet deadlines is critical. We’re searching for a passionate team player that will help evolve our service models and offerings and ensure our systems are running so that we can provide the best in patient care and cancer diagnosis.

Expect to work on a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity. Will collaborate with development, product owners, and internal and external customers and oversee IT operations.



  • AWS, Azure, VMWare, Cisco, networking, budget, vendor management, software development, solution oriented, PowerShell, Puppet, Chef, infrastructure as code, SQL, Windows, Linux administration, management experience
  • Bachelor degree from an accredited institution in Laboratory Science, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT experience, preferable in a clinical laboratory healthcare setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business principles and techniques of administration, organization, and management of the key business issues that exist in the health care industry
  • Project management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large, key customers to develop strategic alliances, resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways, and apply technical skills to advance assignments
  • Experience in building, testing, and implementation of new software and hardware
  • Exhibit precise attention to detail
  • Adaptable & flexible
  • Being part of a multi-disciplinary, agile team building and distributing distributed systems using modern technology stacks with the ability to quickly pick up new technologies/paradigms and to implement solutions across the full stack
