This is a temporary day shift position, working 5 days per week   8+hour shifts 

Shift typically  6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Monday -  Friday (schedule subject to change)

This position is responsible for evaluating, sorting and packing fresh produce into original pre-made produce boxes for distribution and delivery.

**This position was created in order to help address the growing need for food from local food banks across the region. In accordance with the USDA in response to the Corona-virus Pandemic, Pacific Coast Fruit Company has received an award to assemble produce and food boxes to provide fresh food for those in need.**

Essential Functions:

• Ability to work in a refrigerated warehouse. Typically 50 to 60 degrees to keep our products fresh
• Ability to stand stand at assembly tables for the majority of the shift
• Ability to meet productivity requirements while operating in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to lift cases of product as they are loaded and off-loaded from designated pallets into the assembly area
• Ability to evaluate quality of products assigned and handle all products with extreme care
• Ability to work overtime or occasional weekends as needed 

Knowledge, skill and abilities required: 

• Must work Safely and professionally
• Good oral and written communication skills (ability to read and write in English, as is affected by direction and paperwork)
• Good attention to detail, as well as an ability to differentiate different quality levels of various products
• Able to lift 50+ lbs
• Able to work in a team-oriented environment
• Must be able to work in a consistently cold environment  

Environmental Conditions:

Position works standing continuously in a refrigerated warehouse – 50 to 60 degrees
