Job Summary:  The Learning and Development Manager will shape and execute our insurance brokerage's learning and development strategy through designing and delivering learning programs that elevate the skills, knowledge, and engagement of employees at every level. You will collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to identify talent and learning needs and craft innovative solutions that drive business results.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate learning and development strategies to align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Create training modules and assets, as well as facilitate training sessions.
  • Collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts to create and deliver comprehensive learning and development programs applicable to a growing, multidimensional insurance brokerage, including onboarding, early-in-career programs, manager and professional skills curriculum, and leadership development, using a multi-modal approach.
  • Apply best practices and industry trends to engage adult learners and ensure effective skill and knowledge acquisition.
  • Develop marketing and communication plans to drive program adoption and continuously assess their impact.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; in lieu of degree can substitute relevant education and work experience
  • 5 -10 years’ experience in adult learning theory and instructional design (all modalities), or related field is required
  • Insurance brokerage industry skills required, preferably in client service or operations
  • Strong presentation and facilitation abilities
  • Strong business acumen and consultative skills
  • Proven ability to adapt between strategic and hands-on work
  • Excellent executive presence, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate, influence, and build trust with senior stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with preferred excellence in PowerPoint
  • Ability to efficiently handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks and projects
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
