Department: Shepherding Department
Supervisor: Compassion and Care Director
Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Responsible for creating and updating a yearly team calendar on TEAMS
- Create and maintain a document library on TEAMS
- Communicate signed-up participants to the sponsoring department lead in a timely fashion.
- Train and support volunteers in sending mail, printing CR materials, and other handwritten communications. (Identify a minimum of five volunteers for event serving and departmental support)
- Promptly execute department goals for limited (not requiring Communications design) ministry marketing and external communications including writing, editing, proofing, and designing printed pieces, slide presentations, invitations and certificates, Pulse, and bulletin announcements.
- Manage Shepherding Department Website ensuring events are updated and interactive components are working.
- Create an Officer Candidate program and calendar and adhere to the program deadline. Manage officer election protocol in teams.
- Organize and schedule communion with elders using the Planning Center. Manage Communion program documentation in TEAMS.
- Develop and create a searchable library of confidential shepherding letters. Assist in the development of a Shepherding knowledge database.
- Load presentations/slides on ProPresenter including funeral video
- Trained to run tech for department events
- Submit e-form requests
- Work to create an officer onboarding interactive document
- Church guest services desk coverage for lunch (approximately 1x per month)
