Supervisor: Compassion and Care Director

Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Responsible for creating and updating a yearly team calendar on TEAMS
  • Create and maintain a document library on TEAMS
  • Communicate signed-up participants to the sponsoring department lead in a timely fashion.
  • Train and support volunteers in sending mail, printing CR materials, and other handwritten communications. (Identify a minimum of five volunteers for event serving and departmental support)
  • Promptly execute department goals for limited (not requiring Communications design) ministry marketing and external communications including writing, editing, proofing, and designing printed pieces, slide presentations, invitations and certificates, Pulse, and bulletin announcements.
  • Manage Shepherding Department Website ensuring events are updated and interactive components are working.
  • Create an Officer Candidate program and calendar and adhere to the program deadline.   Manage officer election protocol in teams.
  • Organize and schedule communion with elders using the Planning Center. Manage Communion program documentation in TEAMS.
  • Develop and create a searchable library of confidential shepherding letters.  Assist in the development of a Shepherding knowledge database.
  • Load presentations/slides on ProPresenter including funeral video
  • Trained to run tech for department events
  • Submit e-form requests
  • Work to create an officer onboarding interactive document
  • Church guest services desk coverage for lunch (approximately 1x per month)

Qualifications

Competencies:

  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Ministry Platform, Intacct, Planning Center, and EMS; ability to learn additional computer software as new systems are introduced in such a way as to independently utilize systems and software.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize properly while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to document regular events, classes, and meetings in such a way as to independently create, schedule in advance annual events, and organize events.
  • High level of administrative experience with the ability to work independently adding value.
  • Proficient and efficient communication skills including writing, editing, and proofing.
  • Ability to relate and interact well with others maintaining a professional and caring reputation while co-laboring with other departments.
  • Dedicated to creating and maintaining a professional work environment.
  • Ability to work without direction behind the scenes while assessing a situation with knowledge and skill for making timely decisions and contributing to the department’s success.
  • Self-governed with a high moral code of ethics and values.

 

 

Requirements/Experience:

 

  • Must be a member of Perimeter Church.
  • Must be a team player who is devoted to the mission and vision of Perimeter Church while fully supporting the goals of the Shepherding Center.
  • Must be an independent problem solver. Willing to have a can-do attitude as opposed to an overwhelmed attitude.
  • Must have a college undergraduate degree or commensurate 5 years of high level of administrative work experience.
  • Proficient independent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Planning Center, TEAMS, Ministry Platform, and comfort with learning new computer software.
  • Ability and curiosity to independently learn and apply technology to improve the sharing and storage of information and scheduling.
  • Must be teachable, humble, and able to self-govern with a proven ability to identify and problem-solve the always-changing administrative needs of the department.
