PRN position is only when needed with no set schedule. Must be able to work day, evening, and overnight shifts as needed. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitors the environment for safety, and is aware of emergency procedures.
• Supervises self-administration of client medications in accordance with medical protocol (only after provided with appropriate training)
• Oversees medication needs and issues including coordination with Medical Team for pickup of medications as well as observation of client self-administered medication.
• Observes and charts client behavior, affect, and participation.
• Conducts UA drug screen collection and breathalyses when directed, following appropriate organizational procedures.
• Works to create a therapeutic environment on shift.
• Facilitates recreational activities for clients when needed.
• Coordinates completion of Incident Reports and Client Surveys and data assimilation of same in support of the Quality Management team.
• Safely transport clients to and from medical and other appointments or other critical needs as they arise.
• Follows agency, state and federal regulations and requirements.
• Attends Residential Care Staff meetings.
• Attends community meetings of client programs weekly.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to work day and overnight shifts as needed. 
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
• Knowledge of addiction, recovery, and the 12 step process.
• Ability to model and effectively communicate rules and expectations to clients.
• A valid Texas Drivers License and a clean driving record.
• Works under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
• Must be Red Cross CPR/First Aid certified upon hire or within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills critical to job duties related to this position.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year experience in a direct care practice setting

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Supervised By:

• Family House Program Manager

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
• Must be able to walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to climb stairs
• Must be able to drive a van
