Job Summary

The Overnight Support Services Coordinator Work with a team of staff to help create a safe, healing environment for women and children in Christian Emergency Shelter programs. Oversee the Support Services functions of KentHOPE, including customer service, housekeeping and maintenance functions.

Job Duties

  • Perform random and frequent walks through the entire interior of the building. Record evening report in staff log at the end of each shift.
  • Perform Breathalyzer tests and Urine Analysis drug screens for individuals entering the building after curfew or returning from the hospital.
  • Handle issues that may arise with individuals during the overnight.
  • Do occasional room check or searches as needed.
  • Respond to emergency calls on overnight phone and ECP room alarms.
  • Assess and record safety hazards and maintenance needs.
  • Perform janitorial duties including duties left over from evening shift.
  • Assist with a variety of administrative duties.
  • Handle office telephones and monitor incoming persons.
  • Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor








  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Clerical and reception experience required
  • Building cleaning and maintenance or similar experience 
  • Supervisory experience required.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time in a temperature-controlled environment.  Occasionally will stand, balance, twist, stoop, kneel and reach with hands/arms.  Occasionally lifts up to 20 pounds and walks, use stairways to climb to multiple floors within the company.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
