Producer Engagement Field Representative

Job Description and Requirements

Maryland Auto Insurance seeks candidates to fill the position of Field Representative with focus on Producer Engagement.  This newly created position will be part of our Communications team. This Field Representative will be primarily responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with targeted producer (agent) partners to encourage the targeted producers to offer Maryland Auto policies to their eligible non-standard customers.  The Field Representative will spend 60% - 80% of their time on the road meeting with these partners. During visits with producers, the Field Representatives will provide information regarding Maryland Auto policies and will present the business case to increase producer engagement with Maryland Auto for the producer’s customers who do not qualify in the standard market.

Success will be measured by number of visits completed, quality of relationships and level of producer engagement.

This Field Representative will also support Maryland Auto’s community outreach strategy by attending and working events.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, preferably in Marketing and/or Communications, and at least 1 year of experience in marketing and communications, insurance agency sales, B2B sales, or corporate relationship management. Candidates must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and possess a proven record of driving results through relationship management. Experience in developing metrics and reports and Spanish language skills are a plus.

Additional Information

This position will report to the Manager of Communications and will not supervise other employees. This is a flextime position scheduled for 80 hours per pay period. Duties of the position may require work during evenings, weekends or holidays. Additional hours worked, with prior supervisory approval, will be compensated as compensatory time. Reliable transportation and a clean driving record are required for this position. Field Representatives use their personal vehicles and are reimbursed for mileage (which includes costs associated with car owner usage) for work related matters.
