Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • As a waterpark supervisor, this position will be knowledgeable about the day to day operation of the waterpark and the facility to ensure quality leadership of team members, as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service to all guests.
  • Participate in the ongoing training of marketing and sales department team members and be responsible for their follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Provide operational leadership for parkwide promotions like Passholder Nights, and coordinate large scale group events like private rental dates as well as inclement weather and capacity challenges.
  • Have a thorough understanding of promotions and messaging necessary to guests related to all ticket types and in park resources, before, during and after the event.
  • Lead management and lead building particularly related to season pass, camp, group sales and cabanas
  • Coordinate the effective circulation of internal communication to include the battlebook, updates to in park staff about changing or new promotions, blasts, break room signage and text or team member web updates.
  • Assist with the development of external collateral that guests and potential guests will view to include in park announcements, menus, signage, social media posts, eblasts, in park coupons and website updates
  • Roll out completed campaigns for various resources, working with various department directors and their teams to identify needs to ensure effective outcomes for example: sell more souvenir cups as a KPI
  • Responsible for ensuring that daily announcement coverage, plan and music schedule are ready for operation.
  • Apply existing skills and build and develop new skills to design and create collateral
  • Develop a strong portfolio of both video and photo of the waterpark in operation
  • This position will receive guidance and gain knowledge about posting approved content effectively on social media as well as learn to monitor comments independently, as park knowledge and customer service skills are developed.
  • Assist with the documentation and evaluation of analytics reports concerning traffic and conversion of visitors on a weekly basis along with reporting during crucial deadlines.
  • Create and launch surveys and polls
  • Participate in cashier training and occasionally be prepared to assist our department and other departments with transactions or long guest lines
  • Assume responsibility for coordinating socially distanced in park appearances, as well as social media needs with the mascot
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experienced in the field of marketing with navigation experience and interest in the major social media platforms and their best practices, including TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest and Facebook
  • Any design program experience or knowledge preferred. InDesign, Illustrator, Canva, Promo.com
  • Experience with utilizing an iPhone to generate video and photo content preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to interface with cross-functional teams in a professional manner.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multitask, handling several projects at once and meeting deadlines.
  • Possession of a strong work ethic and high level of confidentiality.
  • A basic understanding of design and print services.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and efficiently manage time.
  • Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and promote strong internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to bend, lift, carry 25 lbs. and perform other physical duties involved with promotions and events.
