JOB SUMMARY:
Community Programs provides high quality Girl Scout programs in various schools that include Uplift Education and Dallas ISD. The mission is to build courage, confidence and character in school age girls. The After School Group Leader (Program Delivery Specialist) facilitates the delivery of Girl Scout curriculum and programs, as well as helps girls with their language proficiency. The Program Delivery Specialist will be required to work after school.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Travel to various schools and communities to deliver Girl Scout Curriculum and Activities.
•Communicate effectively with parents, school staff and community.
•Assist with promotion of Girl Scouts programs. 
•Assist with field trips and special events (some weekends).
•Serves as and is responsible for being a role model for girls in behavior and attitude while following the Girl Scout Promise and Law and GSNETX policy and procedures.
•Must attend weekly team meetings and deliver programs as assigned and instructed.
•Must assist and participate in Cookie Program activities when required. 
•Administrative duties as assigned.

OTHER
•Must be able to travel within established geographic areas and council service centers, as necessary.
•Must have reliable transportation, hold a valid drivers’ license and meet GSNETX driving record & automobile insurance requirements.
•Performs other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•Bilingual (preferred, but not required).
•High school graduate with at least 2 years of work or volunteer related experience or some college.
•Public speaking experience.
•Ability to work with minimum supervision.
•Ability to manage class sizes ranging from 15 to 60 with other members of the team.
•Demonstrate and promote a climate of courtesy, respect and professionalism to coworkers, the volunteers served by this council, and others with whom her/his job puts her/him in contact
•Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

The employee must be able to drive and have a valid driver’s license.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
GSNETX will provide CPR/AED and First Aid training and certification.
GSNETX will provide Safety, Child Abuse and Child Neglect training per state regulation requirements.
