The Overnight Case Manager I – Winter Shelter works with a team of staff to help create a safe, healing environment for guests in a Men’s shelter.  Part of a 12-hour team that provides advocacy-based and spiritual counseling, information, referral and support services to program guests. 




  • Process intake assessments and screening of guests.
  • Manage caseload of individual guests in a Men’s shelter.
  • Meets with guests nightly and maintain all electronic and paper client files.
  • Help in maintaining the safety and cleanliness of mission facility.
  • Provide crisis intervention information, chemical dependency case management and referral help.
  • Communicate with all staff through Clarity.
  • Develop and maintain on-going guest files.
  • Administer observed urine collections for guests (Due to the sensitive nature of these essential job duties we are only able to consider males for this position)
  • Perform welfare checks in guest residences and restrooms.
  • Help maintain a positive, pleasant and Christian atmosphere at the facility
  • Attend and participate in all Mission, Division and Department meetings and training, as required.
  • Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.  An Associate Degree is preferred.  A combination of education and 2 years of relatable experience may be substituted.
  • 1 year of experience working in a social services or rescue mission setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite




These positions will begin on November 16th, 2021, and are expected to end on or before April 01, 2021.

3-4  shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.


Work Environment


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time in a temperature-controlled environment.  Requires frequent use of computers, keyboarding and talking on the telephone.  Occasionally will stand, balance, twist, bend, stoop, kneel and reach with hands/arms.  Regularly lifts up to 20 pounds and walks, use stairways to climb to multiple floors within the facility.  Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.



This position is subject to pre-employment background check and drug screen.
