Vision:
The Advancement Project and Events Manager will be in charge of planning, coordinating, and executing key Advancement Team projects (direct mail appeals, Kindlings, impact reports, video messages, etc...) and events such as our Associates In Ministry Celebration (AIM), Summer Concerts, Christmas Concerts and off-site donor events. As project manager, they will be the primary point of contact between the Advancement Team and the Marketing Team, vendors, and outside contractors. For Summer and Christmas Concerts they will coordinate all logistics before and during concerts as well as serve as the volunteer coordinator for all concerts.
Responsibilities:
-Manage all direct mail appeals (determines timelines, creates mailing lists, interfaces with Marketing Team and print house, as well as coordinate any necessary volunteers).
-Manage the processes for Kindlings, Impact Reports, Christmas Cards, and any other print projects. Collecting ministry stories from the Program Team is key for this.
-Serve as point person for all Advancement video messages. Working with the Marketing Team to determine and secure filming schedule, creating recipient list and executing delivery.
-Coordinate Mount Hermon’s Summer and Christmas concerts. This includes communicating with artists or their manager, learning to “book” artists, submitting check requests, creating the BEO, and managing concert volunteers.
-Over time, will become our internal point person for producing our annual Associates in Ministry (AIM) event by serving as Kerry Phibb’s direct AIM assistant. The goal is to eventually transfer all logistical leadership/execution for this event from Kerry to Project/Event Coordinator. NOTE – we anticipate this to be a multi-year transition.
-Will be responsible for securing location, invitation lists, food & drinks, invites and follow-up for all off-site events.
-Receives all incoming Advancement Office calls in addition to producing first time donor welcome letters and weekly prayer cards for Associates

The right person for this role is a mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in their faith. Fully in accord with Mount Hermon Association Inc.’s (MHA) mission, vision, values and statement of beliefs. Someone who is passionate about Mount Hermon, and administratively gifted yet also relationally driven. They are excellent at handling a large number of details while also helping contribute to the big vision. They are energized by setting the rest of our team up for success as together we build strong donor relationships. Expanding into a more donor-facing role in coming years is an option if desired and properly equipped. The right person is someone who intends/prefers to make a multi-year commitment to this role at Mount Hermon.
