POSITION: Behavioral Health Therapist
SALARY: $68,000.00 - 72,800.00 (DOE)
REPORTS TO: Behavioral Health Program Manager LRCHC
LOCATION: San Poil Valley Health Center, Keller, WA
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND STANDARDS:
- Knowledge of and commitment to adhere to the professional code of ethics for respective profession.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable RCWs, WACs and other regulatory and contractual requirements; stay up to date on any new regulations affecting the departments compliance.
- Maintain clinical records and all its content.
- Be comfortable and proficient with de-escalation skills in order to remain calm and helpful to individuals who may be distressed, angry or experiencing a mental health crisis.
- Strong knowledge of crisis triage, psychiatric diagnostic assessment, brief/solution focused therapy models, and liaison work.
- Responsible for making proper treatment referrals and documentation
- Counsel clients, individually to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life or making changes.
- Monitor clients use of medications
- Knowledge of diversity in rural America, specifically on Indian reservations
- Knowledge of Local, State and Federal standards and State Licensure requirements
- Ability to be willing to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends and holidays as the work dictates
- Ability to have strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze and apply effective conflict resolution skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format
- Ability to work under tense, demanding and sometimes-critical situations
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, clients, outside entities and the general public
- Ensure a holistic and comprehensive treatment approach
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the electronic medical record system.
- Skills in the use of computers and associated software as it relates to the duties of the position.
- Conduct mental health assessments and documentation.
- Develop individualized service plans and documentation.
- Responsible to develop and maintain patient registries.
- Ability to run reports off of systems and registries as needed.
- Must have and maintain CRP/First Aid Certification and TB test annually.
