Solect is currently seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager whose primary role is the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the HR function at Solect Energy. This candidate will work in our Hopkinton, MA office.  The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of Human Resources experience and working knowledge of several HR disciplines including employee relations, benefits administration, and recruiting.   This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team in the exciting solar industry and to make a positive contribution to the environment.  Solect is committed to building a culture of excellence through employee development by creating an environment that inspires innovation and teamwork. 


Desired Qualifications

  • Perform benefits administration including change reporting and communicating with employees; manage the group benefit open enrollment process

  • Oversee recruitment efforts for all employees; ensure proper approvals, manages job posting procedures, work with management to review and screen applicants and lead onboarding process

  • Manage employee offboarding, including exit interviews, COBRA administration

  • Manage 401(k) Savings plan including employee enrollment, and compliance.  Participate in monthly administration meetings

  • Oversees the annual performance management program

  • Maintains Employee Handbook; published edits as necessary

  • Provides compensation support to managers including collaboration with management on the design and administration of variable pay programs

  • Administer Employee Candidate Referral Bonus and Sales Referral Incentive Programs

  • Maintains employee files including personnel, health and I9

  • Manage and tracks all employee discipline issues; Handles employee relations counseling

  • Conduct regular employee engagement surveys, reviews the data and makes recommendations to management for continuous improvement

  • Manages leaves of absence process, including FMLA 

  • Collect, track and maintain driving records for all Fleet drivers 

  • Oversees the administration of the company interns including MassCEC intern program

  • Identify and coordinate employee training opportunities for professional development

  • Compose and distribute communications to employees about their benefits and HR policies

  • Complete external HR surveys as required

  • Assist management in evaluating jobs, completing written job descriptions and recommending salary ranges

  • Liaison between Finance/Payroll and HR

  • Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed

Generals Skills/Knowledge
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • 3-5 years general Human Resources experience required

  • SHRM certification preferred
