Our interview and selection process is designed to give each applicant the chance to discover how our community bank offers quality financial and banking services for our customers and is a great place to work for our employees.
As we begin the review of your application, we want to provide you a comprehensive overview of our hiring process. We are available to respond to your questions throughout the process.
Preliminary screening
1. Initial Application Screening: The LNB HR Department will complete an initial screening of all applications to assess previous experiences. The HR Department will follow-up with you to address any questions or concerns about your application before you advance to the next step in the process.
2. Employment Assessments: After the initial application review, selected candidates will be asked to complete an aptitude and personality profile test. The employment assessments are administered by Criteria Corp. A link will be e-mailed to you to complete the employment assessments. You will receive a summary report upon completion of this assessment.
Interview phase
3. Initial Interview: After the employment assessment, selected candidates will be scheduled for the initial interview with the LNB HR Department. This interview will be conducted via phone or Zoom. This will be a structured interview using a behavioral based interview process. You will be expected to share about a variety of past experiences and to provide detailed examples. In order to be fully prepared, you are encouraged to learn more about behavioral based interviewing and spend some time considering examples and experiences you would like to share with us.
4. Hiring Manager Interview(s): After the initial interview, selected candidates will be contacted to schedule an interview with the position’s Hiring Manager. In addition to the Hiring Manager, the interview(s) could also include other LNB associates. This will be a structured interview using a behavioral based interview process.
5. Reference Check: After the Hiring Manager Interview, we will contact a minimum of two references. You are strongly encouraged to provide contact information for references who can discuss details about your work history, personal characteristics, behaviors in a professional setting and day-to day work habits. If you would like to update your references, please provide new references and contact information to HR. The HR team also reserves the right to contact references you have worked with in the past who are not listed on your application.
6. Final Interview: After completion of the reference calls, selected candidates will be contacted to schedule a final interview with the Hiring Manager and Division Leadership. In addition, the interview could also include other LNB associates. This will be a structured interview using a behavioral based interview process.
Employment verification/confirmation
7. Background Check / Credit Report: After the interview process, a selected candidate will be offered a position with LNB – contingent upon a satisfactory background check and credit report.
