Position Summary:

The DevOps Specialist will help CellNetix moves to a more cost-effective and scalable technology infrastructure. This position will fulfill infrastructure projects and provide technical support to the enterprise.


Essential Duties:

  1. Work closely with the IT team to collaborate and coordinate on projects and operational support
  2. Automate infrastructure technology processes and solutions to ensure scalability, security, quality, and reliability of IT services
  3. Analyze infrastructure automation requirements and code development
  4. System build, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and administration
  5. Test and debug solutions to ensure quality delivery of solutions
  6. Monitor system and application health to optimize performance and reliability
  7. Participate and collaborate on projects and deliver timely and complete tasks
  8. Communicate with users, clients, and vendors to provide status of work effort and to coordinate priorities
  9. Develop solutions in accordance with stated standards and quality measures and participate and collaborate on design and code review
  10. Respond to and resolve Incidents according to service level agreements and identify and resolve root problems
  11. Contribute and maintain IT knowledgebase
  12. Train end users and co-workers on subject matter expertise
  13. Participate and coordinate process improvement opportunities
  14. Other related duties as assigned


  1. Working knowledge Windows administration including implementation, troubleshooting, and maintaining of a scalable sustainable environment
  2. Working knowledge of network troubleshooting and concepts (WAN/LAN, VPN, routing)
  3. Knowledge of application code release management, configuration management, and deployment automation
  4. Scripting knowledge in PowerShell or equivalent
  5. Flexible, teamwork oriented, thoroughness, and commitment to achieving objectives and quality in work
  6. Work collaboratively, courteously and tactfully with difficult situations and/or people to identify issues and solve problems
  7. Familiarity with Automated deployment tools - Jenkins, Chef, Ansible, or equivalent
  8. Experience with monitoring tools
  9. Experience in building, testing, and implementation of software solutions
  10. Demonstrate competencies in Linux, web technologies, and network troubleshooting
  11. Strong problem solving skills
  12. Demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively
  13. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written



  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience
  2. 2+ years in a support DevOps position preferably in a Laboratory environment
  3. 2+ years of experience automating code deployment in cloud providers such as Amazon
  4. 1+ years Systems administration in a Windows
  5. 1+ years SQL administration
  6. 1+ years Network administration
  7. 1+ year proficiency in a scripting language


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 1+ years in a support DevOps position preferably in a Laboratory environment



Work Environment and Requirements:

  1. Occasional after hours work
  2. Possible on-call duties
  3. Possible light travel
  4. Daily activity is 90% sitting and 10% walking or standing.
  5. Work is in a well-lighted office environment.
  6. Frequent exposure to LCD (computer monitors), repetitive motions, light lifting (<20 lbs)
  7. All employees must adhere to policies and HIPAA regulations that safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI).
  8. Employees may be exposed to environmental hazards and therefore must utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures when appropriate.
