Description

Position Summary:  This role is responsible for ensuring that Pacific Coast Fruit Company meets its environmental goals.  The Sustainability Coordinator will develop policies and initiatives that emphasize the appropriate use of resources with a focus on continuous improvement, and financial and social responsibility.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and propose solutions regarding sustainability improvements.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to implement processes in key areas.
  • Coordinate the measuring and monitoring of sustainability initiatives.
  • Promote and communicate initiatives with employees.
  • Complete annual audit of company’s progress in achieving short and long-term goals.
  • Produce annual report.
  • Partner with Marketing to drive awareness of our programs and commitment to customers and the community.
  • Find and apply for available project grants.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 1 year related job experience.
  • Attention to detail and creative problem-solving ability.
  • Great communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to create and follow a strategy.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, and the ability to use data to inform solid business practices.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, with emphasis in Excel.
  • Ability to speak and write in English is required.

Environmental Conditions:

Position works in an open office environment with some time spent in a refrigerated warehouse. The majority of the office time is spent at a desk on a computer and/or phone.
