­­­­­Newport Restaurant Group is looking for a Sales Assistant and Event Concierge to join the team.

About the Position: In the Sales Assistant and Event Concierge role, you will assist the Sales and Management team with the goal of increasing sales productivity; and restaurant efficiencies.  The Sales Assistant will work with the Manager of Private Dining Sales, Sales & Event Managers to maximize selling time.

About You: You are passionate, energetic and to whom pleasing and impressing guests comes naturally.

Essential Duties:

  • General administration work for the Sales Team, such as answering phone calls, entering information into the event management system, corresponding with clients via email/phone, organizing client databases
  • Assist Sales Manager as necessary with guest services, email collateral, create daily schedules, and timely response of inquiries
  • Enter new contracted events into Open Table
  • Complete post-event responsibilities including updating the event management system
  • Will work with the sales team, operations and culinary team to ensure that all of the client’s day of expectations are met
  • Special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
  • A bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year College or University
  • At least one year of related experience or training; or and equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Food and beverage experience is a plus, however, we are willing to train the right candidate regardless of experience.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong administrative skills, organized and detail oriented and prepared to multitask and work efficiently in a fast paced, high volume, aggressive sales atmosphere
